Christianvision.uk False Teaching Says You Need A Relationship with God or You Go to Hell

This actual link to this article entitled ‘Does Hell Exist’ cannot be found through a simple online search, as it is only available as a Google advertisement, but it clearly teaches a false gospel of works salvation.

My writing in blue.

Is Hell Real?

The bible teaches that hell is a real place.

  1. It is where people go

when they die if they don’t have a relationship with God.

No scripture is provided to back up their statement.

What Christianvision.uk say is false and a work. Ephesians 2:8-9 says that we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It is a gift of God, not of human works, so that no one can boast.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boastEphesians 2:8-9

Salvation is a free gift of God accomplished through the finished work of Jesus Christ. Any works added to Jesus finished work creates an accursed gospel. By subtlety, just like Satan works today, Christianvision.uk is frontloading the simple gospel with works in saying that if a person doesn’t have a relationship with God, they go to hell when they die.

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed Galatians 1:6-9

  1. No-one knows what Hell is truly like

but the bible makes it clear it is a terrible place to be and should be avoided at all costs.

I have no idea why they are capitalizing the word hell. A picture of its torment is described in the parable fo Lazarus and the rich man.

and in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom Luke 16:23

  1. Jesus died on a cross to save us from going to Hell.

He did this by dying on a cross and offering forgiveness of sins for those who put their faith and trust in him.

Finally, Christianvision.uk say something correct for a change. Again, not sure why they are capitalizing hell. Yes, we are saved by receiving the wonderful gift of salvation through the finished work of Christ, who paid for all the sin of mankind.

but we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; –  1 Corinthians 1:23

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified 1 Corinthians 2:2

We must believe on him for eternal life for the remission of sins.

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sinsActs 10:43

Believe is mentioned 85 times in the Gospel of John. Clearly, the word BELIEVE is important when it comes to salvation.

  1. Hell is the consequence for living a sinful life,

and we’ve all made mistakes in our life.

Clearly, Christianvision.uk are deceiving themselves in speaking such a lie. The reason why Jesus (God in the flesh) came to earth was to save sinners from the wages of sin, which is death and eternal separation from God in the lake of fire.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LordRomans 6:23

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire Revelation 20:15

Sin goes so much further than not breaking the ten commandments, not fornicating, not getting drunk, not murdering, not judging others etc. The list goes on and on. Even our tongue is described as a world of iniquity.

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hellJames 3:6

Even when we say that we are going to pray for someone, and we don’t pay for them, this is sin. We will battle against sin for as long as we live. Christianvision.uk have no understanding of what sin is, and when we are born again into the body of Christ, we still have our fleshly body and there is a constant war that continues for the life of every believer. Even Paul warred with sin.

14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good. 17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?Romans 7:14-24

The Bible tells us that we should serve God, because it is profitable for rewards in Heaven, but good works have nothing to do with salvation. Salvation is a gift entirely of God to save sinful man from the penalty of sin. We must rightly divide the world of God and separate salvation from discipleship or sanctification (growth in grace).

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in themEphesians 2:10

This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto menTitus 3:8

Be careful of churches or websites like Christianvision.uk who judge others regarding sin. There is only one who is sinlessly perfect, and that is Christ Jesus. There is no truth in them if they say they have no sin. We all struggle. Honesty with God as to our struggles with sin makes all the difference, and humility matters with God.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us1 John 1:8

It is not sin that sends us to hell, but unbelief in Christ Jesus and receiving his gift that paid for our sin debt that determines our eternal destination.

  1. But there is good news

The alternative to Hell is ‘Heaven’. Heaven is a paradise for those who have entered into a relationship with God. It describes spending eternity with Jesus and other people who have put their faith in Him.

Again, Christianvision.uk are frontloading the gospel with works in saying that only people in heaven are those who have entered into a relationship with God.

No, we are to trust on the work of Jesus Christ, who paid for our sin.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting lifeJohn 3:16

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life John 6:47

We receive this gift from God when we believe on His finished work.

When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghostJohn 19:30

11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; – Hebrews 10:11-12

Even all of the sin and peace offerings conducted in the Old Testament could never take away sins, but Jesus Christ offered up his own body for the sin of humanity, and is seated at the right hand of God. There is no more work for us to do, because we cannot offer God anything. The work of Jesus has made us right with God, to those who believe on His completed work. I think that a lot of Churches still believe that they have a part to play in our salvation, and are not fully trusting on Christ’s work done for us. This is where faith is necessary. Who are we trusting in. Christ or Christ plus our works. Our righteousness’s are as filthy rags.

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us awayIsaiah 64:6

Below is a simple prayer that you can pray to have your relationship with God restored and become a Christian.

If you commit your life to Jesus you don’t need to live in fear of hell. Rather you will be guaranteed eternal life with God.

Statements like this are frontloading the gospel with works for salvation. They are saying that works are necessary to avoid hell. They say that you are guaranteed eternal life with God. Remember, we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work in taking away the sin of mankind.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boastEphesians 2:8-9

Salvation is a gift of God entirely free of human works. It is impossible to serve God though the flesh. The gift of the Holy Spirit is given to those who trust on Christ for eternal life, and this is the reason why we go to Heaven, because we are given a new nature that cannot sin.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God1 John 3:9

This is a scripture that is twisted by works salvationists. When we trust in Christ, we are born again (of God) and the Holy Spirit cannot sin. However, our flesh remains as Paul clearly describes his war with his flesh in Romans 7. Sin will always remain in the believer and is a choice of will as to walking in the Spirit or in the flesh.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the fleshGalatians 5:16

Jesus warns people in Matthew 7 that the gate is strait and the way is narrow, because He is the strait gate and the narrow way.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it – Matthew 7:13-14

Jesus is the life. His completed work gives life unto the believer, because without His sinless finished work we would have absolutely no chance of going to heaven.

Faith in His obedience unto God, His finished work. We all come short of God’s glory. We have all sinned.

for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; – Romans 3:23

Notice whom Jesus is addressing in this scripture – people who were trusting in themselves. They did not fulfil the will of God in believing on Christ for salvation.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquityMatthew 7:21-23

What is the will of His Father in Heaven?

40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last dayJohn 6:40

The people who Jesus addresses were still in their sin (their iniquity) and he tells them that He never knew them.

“Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Saviour.

In Your Name, Amen.”

How can we come to Christ without first admitting that we have sinned and come short of God’s glory. Repent in the New Testament means a change of mind, so obviously there must be a change of mind as to what you believe. Do you believe Christ died for your sins and do you trust Him, or do you continue to trust that you are a good person who will merit heaven through good works? W must be perfect to go to heaven, and nobody is. That is why God came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to pay for our sin debt. Only the perfect sinless lamb of God could take away our sin.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world John 1:29

Inviting Jesus into your heart and life is not found in the Bible, nor do we need to say a sinners prayer, as this is not biblical either. We either trust Him or we don’t trust him. Following Christ or becoming a discipleship is not an absolute to salvation. Salvation is entirely of God, given as a gift to those who receive it through simple faith in Christ.

This prayer is loaded with works and has turned the good news of Christ into impossible work. Frontloaded gospels like this only confuse and get people to trust in themselves, rather than trust Christ.

Accursed gospels like those at Christianvision.uk are everywhere. We must be discerning as believers, defending the simplicity that is in Christ and giving God all of the glory for saving us.

As a born again believer, who has trusted Christ as saviour, I must share the gospel.

  1. Sin separates us from God (Genesis 3).
  2. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
  3. To go to heaven, we must be perfect, and none of us are (Matthew 5:48).
  4. God loves us (John 3:16), but He hates our sin (Psalm 5:4).
  5. God came in the flesh as Jesus Christ (John 10:30), obeyed the law perfectly (Romans 5:19), and died that cruel death on the cross for the sins of every human being who will ever live on this earth (1 John 2:2).
  6. Jesus, who is God Almighty in the flesh, resurrected His body and ascended into Heaven offering his sacrifice for sin forever (Hebrews 10:12).
  7. The will of God is for us to believe on His son, Jesus Christ, who paid for all sin (John 6:40).
  8. Jesus’ shed blood gives us the remission of sin (Romans 3:25, Hebrews 10:18).
  9. Although God has died for all sin, God chooses to save only those who trust in His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ (John 6:47).

Do you believe that He paid for your sin debt? Will you trust Him today for eternal life? Contrary to popular belief by false teachers who teach that a believer can lose their salvation because of willful sin etc, this is incorrect. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance— Romans 11:29
