Just a simple look at the logo of Spirit Cafe Place of Encounter, clearly shows a serpent logo. This is a new age practice and nothing to do with the Holy Spirit of God, because it mentions not Jesus or the gospel of Christ anywhere on this site.

Ten years ago, I would probably have celebrated in such a place, and even attended for a ‘reading’ but there is danger in the new age movement. Reiki is even present in hospitals today, of which I wrote to the NHS approximately two years ago to warn them of its dangers, but received no response. Power is present, because Satan has power too, but this power does not save souls. Jesus came to die for sinners. Those who deny sin, like most believers of the new age movement, have no need for a saviour and are sadly blinded by darkness masquerading as light. This darkness continues to blind and keep people from the true light that is Jesus Christ. How can we see our need for a saviour without knowing that sin is present within us?

We can define God is however way we want, but the true God of the Bible, demands perfection, and sadly humankind is not perfect. We all need a saviour. Jesus is God in the flesh, who died for us in sinless perfection, to reconcile us to a Holy God. The Holy Scriptures say that Whoever believeth in Him has eternal life.

The aim of these ‘spiritual readings’ from the Spirit Cafe are to keep you in darkness and away from the true healing and saving light that is Jesus Christ. Come to the light, the true light of Christ while God’s grace remains. Believe that Jesus died for your sins, that he was buried, and resurrected three days later, according to the scriptures.

I write this blog post in an effort to bring light into the darkness. There was absolutely no gospel of Christ given at the Spirit Cafe website. It is a message that wants to appeal to everyone as holy, but not all spirits are of God. Jesus told us to test spirits.

The Spirit Cafe is a place people come when they need direction, healing prayer, peace or all the above. The treatment teams have been trained and continue to develop their spiritual giftings. All treatments are done through the Holy Spirit. The power and presence of God is felt in a tangible way, even by those who have never been in a church before.
As believers of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit dwells within, but it doesn’t need to be felt or experienced ‘in a tangible way’. It is present. It is there to convict sin and to glorify the name of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit draws us closer to Jesus, and thereby we become a witness of Jesus toward others through the Holy Spirit within. I am not an expert in the bible, nor a preacher or teacher, but the Holy Spirit does bring discernment to every believer, and anyone who is considering going to Spirit Cafe should be wary of the spiritual damage that it could bring to you.
Scary that this ministry even train others in this new age practice. I noticed that the ‘healings’ and ‘readings’ were free, but I’d be wary as the gospel of Christ is not given on the Spirit Cafe website, and there is talk of the holy spirit, but there is also a counterfeit holy spirit in this world called satan masquerading as an angel of light. We are living in very dark times.

If you believe that he died for you. If you simply repent (change your mind) and believe the gospel of Christ, the Holy Bible states that you are saved. Simple. There doesn’t need to be experiences or holy manifestations. Being saved does not come with a feeling, but we are told to stand on the Word of God and believe in simple faith. The main site, Harvest Ministries does not give the gospel of Christ, but the female pastor talks about ‘visions’, the ‘presence of God’ and ‘encounters’. Not much talk of Jesus Christ from this holy spirit at Harvest Ministries. The true Holy Spirit lifts up the name of Jesus, because this is the job of the Holy Spirit. The Holy trinity are one. The Holy Spirit convicts of sin and leads us to the Saviour, Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ is the only path back to Almighty God, and God is Creator of All.
Almighty Father, please grant discernment to Harvest Ministries and Spirit Cafe. The gift of the Holy Spirit is given to all who trust in Jesus Christ as saviour, when we believe the glorious gospel. Thank you for your mercy and grace, for we do not deserve it. Thank you Jesus for your gift today and bless all those who read this blog post, and please grant spiritual discernment to those who attend Spirit Cafe and Harvest Ministries.
