And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins – Matthew 1:21
Jesus is greek 2424 Iesous and defined as Jehovah is salvation.
The Holy Bible says that there will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father – Philippians 2:5:11
Three witnesses in this world give evidence of God
- Just look at the world and its gifts and miracles.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: – Romans 1:20
Conception is a miracle. We are a miracle, every one of us, made in the image of God. However, sin separates us from God, which is why we need a redeemer.
- The Comforter, the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin. However, sin is the word that we sore detest because we do not want to see this part of ourselves, but the truth is given in the bible.
for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; – Romans 3:23.
It is clear that to not believe in the work of Jesus Christ is to sin against God as seen in John 16:9.
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they believe not on me; 10 of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11 of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged – John 16:7-10
- Conscience. This guide within each of us tells us right from wrong, but we can ignore it and then use a myriad of excuses to justify our decision.
which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) – Romans 2:15
When we do wrong, when we lie or gossip against others, for example, we are committing sin against God. One sin is enough to keep us out of heaven, because we must be perfect to go to heaven, and no human being is, or ever will be. This is why Jesus Christ came into the world, to become sin for us, and to trust in Him gives us eternal life. Many scriptures affirm this.
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all – James 2:10
Scripture is clear that the conscience can be seared, which is the greek 2743 kauteriazo, which is defined whose souls are branded with the marks of sin, carry about the perpetual consciousness of sin.
speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; – 1 Timothy 4:2
The world is seducing in telling humans that we have freedom to believe in whatever religion we want. For example, some people believe in reincarnation, but the Holy Bible says that once we die, then comes the judgement. If we are without Christ, would God give us another chance if we have heard the gospel yet denied the finished work of Christ – the free gift of salvation.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: – Hebrews 9:27
Wherever you are right now, if you are reading this blog post, I urge you to put your trust in Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross as payment for your sin. God will give you the gift of the Holy Spirit, who cannot sin. We need a new perfect nature to go to heaven. The flesh or the old adamic nature will always remain until we die, or until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30).
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord – Romans 6:23
There is no other chance after we die, so do not let human pride ruin your chances of going to heaven. Most of Hollywood movies teach that if we are good person we go to heaven, but the Bible teaches that sin cannot enter heaven.
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life – Revelation 21:27
This is why we need a new sinless nature, as Jesus explained to Nicodemus in John 3.
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God – John 3:3
Going further in John 3:16, Jesus explains that to get everlasting life is to believe in himself.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16
God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved – John 3:17
All of the animal sacrifices throughout the Old Testament could never take away sin. Do not let another human being deny you the truth of what is written in the Holy Bible. Remember that man is tainted by sin from birth and because of this nature we are prone to error. God cannot lie, so believe God and not wealthy influential people like Oprah Winfrey, who has a lot of power to sway people’s opinion onto most of the new age religions that she promotes. She is dangerous, but God still loves her and she still has the time to repent (change her mind) and trust in Christ as saviour as payment for her sin.
3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins – Hebrews 10:3-4
The Lamb of God (Jesus Christ) takes away the sin of the world, as spoken by John the Baptist.
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world – John 1:29
Notice the scripture in Hebrews 7:27 and Hebrews 10:12.
26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27 who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28 For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore – Hebrews 7:26-28
11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: 12 but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; – Hebrews 10:11-12
The law, the Old Testament, was written to show the Jews that they needed a saviour in the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. When Jesus came and repeatedly showed them of their need for him, they remained in their pride and saw no need for a saviour. Therefore, they were still in their sin, even though they believe that they followed the law perfectly.
Galatians makes it clear that the law was the schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, to show us our need for a saviour.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster – Galatians 3:23-25
Notice that salvation is a gift of God, but most pastors do not teach salvation in this way, instead calling it easy believism, but we only teach what the scriptures say in relation to salvation. Humans in our pride believe that we have a part to play in our salvation, but we do not. Making salvation hard is to deny Christ, as pious and holy as these people think that they are. Human works have no place in getting people to heaven. False teachers accurse the gospel by adding works, and the Apostle Paul warns of this in Galatians.
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;) 2 and all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: 3 grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: 5 to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed – Galatians 1:1-9
Paul received revelation from Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ – Galatians 1:12
The truth is that man (or religion in how they interpret God) lead people away from God the Father, but the biblical God is longsuffering and does not want anyone to perish, as it says in 2 Peter 3:9.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance – 2 Peter 3:9
If you want to serve God, this is wonderful and pleasing in God’s sight, but make sure that you are born again first by trusting in the finished work of Christ and know that none of your works can earn you righteousness with Christ either before or after salvation. Become a disciple (learner) brings blessings on earth and rewards in heaven. The best work we can do for Christ is to tell others the gospel. Jesus Christ saves us from the penalty of sin – ALL SIN. It is nothing of human merit because we are tainted with sin. God recognises works without Christ as filthy rags.
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away – Isaiah 64:6
There are many exhortations in the New Testament for us to grow in grace and to walk in the Spirit. Sanctification is a choice in the believer, but some believers may remain carnal or babes in Christ and receive chastening of the Lord.
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh – Galatians 5:16
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen – 2 Peter 3:18
Thankfully, Christ keeps us safe in his hand. No one can pluck us out of his hand as it states in John 10:28.
and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand – John 10:28
Salvation cannot be lost, contrary to what man teaches. We are saved through grace by faith in Jesus Christ, as is says in Ephesians 2:8-9.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast – Ephesians 2:8-9.
It is clear from the scripture here that there will be no boasters in heaven. Boast of Christ and His amazing work. Give glory to God.
Salvation is a gift of God through simple belief in Christ’s finished work on the cross. God gives us the free will to believe and accept Christ’s payment for our sin, or to reject it. Human works will never match the righteousness of Christ, who is God in the flesh (John 1:14). To try to pay for sin with human works to enter heaven is foolishness and prideful. There is no scale of good vs evil where heaven is concerned. Satan is the father of lies.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it – John 8:44
To go to heaven we must have the righteousness of Christ, and because of the sin of Adam we are all born into sin. Man’s philosophies may teach otherwise, but the Holy Bible tells the truth. Jesus Christ, who is God in the flesh, came to be our redeemer, becoming sin for us.
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him – 2 Corinthians 5:21
He was buried and resurrected three days later, proving that the work of redeeming sinful man to God was finished.
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost – John 19:30
Human works cannot pay for sin. This is the reason why Jesus had to be born of the Virgin Mary. This was a miracle. However, this miracle is not one to worship as the Roman Catholics say who teach that Mary is a co-redeemer. She is not. She required a saviour, like we all do.
And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, 47 and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour – Luke 1:46-47
Roman Catholicism like many false religions teaches the traditions of men.
For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do – Mark 7:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ – Colossians 2:8
The Holy Bible tells us that every tongue will one day confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, but do not let pride get in the way of your eternal abode. Trust in Jesus Christ for salvation today. You can know that you will go to heaven when you trust in Christ. Many scriptures affirm this.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life – John 3:16
Perish is the greek word 622, apollumi which is defined as destroy, abolish, ruined, be lost, render useless, to kill, to declare that one must be put to dead, metaphorically to devote or give over to eternal misery in hell. It is not worth the risk to deny Christ and His finished work in payment for our sin.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him – John 3:36
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life – John 6:47
8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life – John 1:5:8-12
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God – 1 John 5:13
The wages of sin is death, but Jesus Christ is the lamb of God who took away all sin for everyone, becoming sin in place for everybody’s sin. Calvinists are wrong in their teachings and take scriptures out of context. They teach of a cruel God. They are following the teachings of a man called John Calvin.
Human works cannot pay for sin, but Jesus Christ did. Will you trust in His perfect work on the cross today, and you can know (from scripture) that you will go to heaven.
There is only one way to God the Father.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me – John 14:6
All religions apart from biblical Christianity are antichrist.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 and every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world – 1 John 4:1-3
In John 1:14, it says that the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. Therefore, the cults who deny that Jesus is God in the flesh confess by their words that they have the spirit of antichrist. Islam teaches that Jesus is just a prophet and is contrary to what the Word of God says in that Christ is the Messiah who grants eternal life to those who believe in Him.
Trust in Jesus Christ for eternal life and tell others of the good news. This is the love of God manifest.
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance – Luke 15:7
Repenteth in this scripture is greek 3340 metanoeo, which is defined to change one’s mind or to think differently or reconsider. To change the mind about what exactly? Change the mind or reconsider the work of Jesus Christ as the only way to get to heaven, instead of trusting in self.
