In Genesis 6:6 the Lord was sorry (repented) that he had made man on the earth and He was grieved in His heart, and Genesis 6:7 tell us in scripture that He would destroy man, beast, and every creeping thing, and the fowls of the air because he regretted or was sorry (repenteth) that he had made them. However, in the preceding chapters, God is sorry about having those thoughts about destroying man.
