False Teachings

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJV)

As a believer of Jesus Christ, I have come across a lot of deceivers in my time. Don’t listen to this, don’t watch that, don’t do this don’t do that. Seriously, the burdens that they put onto me made me doubt my salvation, and I still do on occasions, so thanks fellow supposed Christians. Aren’t we meant to edify and build up instead of knock down brethren? Have you come across other ‘believers’ who constantly belittle and hold themselves as righteous because of the things they do and the lives they lead?

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1 John 1:8 (KJV)

This page is a work in progress adding websites who are listing a false gospel and another Jesus. Paul warned of others who preached another gospel. The changes may be subtle, but we must defend the gospel and keep the good news simple, as it rightly is.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8 (KJV)

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. 2 Corinthians 11:14 (KJV)

The gospel is simple. Sin separates us from a Holy God. It is impossible to fulfil the laws of God. Only Jesus could fulfil this. Jesus came down from Heaven to accomplish something that non of us could ever do. Nothing we do, none of our works no matter how good we think we are, can reconcile us to a Holy God. Jesus died for all of humanity on the cross, was buried, and resurrected three days later. His blood sacrifice was accepted by God as payment for sin. This blood sacrifice makes us righteous again with God, for those who believe on the completed work of Jesus. This is the good news in its simplicity.
