Jesus Christ is Not Religion

Jesus Christ is not Religion

Why is it that Jesus Christ and Christianity is often portrayed through the Roman Catholic Church on mainstream TV and in movies. Isn’t it always a ‘father’ wearing the standard dog collar who is portrayed as the Christian way, and it’s sending this message out that Catholicism is the right way, but we must remember that TV and the media is the world, and the systems of the world tells lies and confuses because its father is Satan.

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of GodJames 4:4

Catholicism is not Christianity, nor does it support the work of Jesus Christ, it is organised religion, a religion based on man-made laws that are contrary to biblical salvation, which is a gift given to us through God’s grace. Catholicism teaches a works salvation. A human man has no authority to forgive sin, because He is sinful.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast Ephesians 2:8–9

Grace in Strong’s Concordance is 5485. charis

charis: grace, kindness

Original Word: χάρις, ιτος, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: charis
Phonetic Spelling: (khar’-ece)
Definition: grace, kindness
Usage: (a) grace, as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ, (b) favor, (c) gratitude, thanks, (d) a favor, kindness.

In addition, the Roman Catholic Church declares anathema on anyone who is trusting in Christ alone, so clearly the Roman Catholic Church is antichrist.

CANON 9: “If any one saith, that by faith alone the impious is justified; in such wise as to mean, that nothing else is required to co-operate in order to the obtaining the grace of Justification, and that it is not in any way necessary, that he be prepared and disposed by the movement of his own will; let him be anathema.”

CANON 12: “If any one shall say that justifying faith is nothing else than confidence in the divine mercy pardoning sins for Christ’s sake, or that it is that confidence alone by which we are justified…let him be accursed”

This is another gospel, as spoken of in 2 Corinthians 11:4 and Galatians 1:6 and not Christ crucified, as found in 1 Corinthians 1:23. The finished work of Christ took away the sins of the whole world, and Christ resurrected, so He is a living God. Without Christ’s sacrifice, nobody would go to heaven, because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; — Romans 3:23

The Apostle Paul preached Christ crucified, and he had this to say for those who preached another gospel.

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed Galatians 1:6–9

There we have it. The Holy Bible declares a curse on those who preach any other gospel than Jesus finished work on the cross, and Catholicism declares a curse upon those who put their faith in Jesus alone. Since God can’t lie and His word is truth, why believe a man-made religion?

There are teachers galore today who are teaching Christ plus….

· repent or turn from sins

· go to church

· get baptized

· give your heart to Christ

· surrender your life to Christ

· take up your cross

· make Jesus Lord of all

· prove that you’re a true believer by works, etc etc

The trouble with these teachings, when added to grace, is that works cancel out grace. Works simply puts a person under bondage, and fear is often the outcome in attempting to serve God through the flesh nature. There is no peace, no growth in grace, and no salvation (gift of the Holy Spirit) if we are attempting to trust Christ and then add to His finished work. Either teachers front load the gospel with works saying that you must repent of sins, surrender your life to Christ, etc, and then there are the back loaders who say that you must prove that you’re saved, by your works and use the scriptures to condemn others. Both are accursed gospels that are erroneously taught today.

4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness — Romans 4:4–5

And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work – Romans 11:6

Jesus saves FULL STOP, because we trust in His righteousness, His works, and not our own. He died for everyone in this world. He loves us all, but He hates our sin. It is sin that separates us from Almighty God. But He made a way for sinful man to be reconciled to a Holy God.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his lifeRomans 5:10

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation 2 Corinthians 5:18

The law of God was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ, because nobody can keep the law perfectly. We have a sinful nature. To go to heaven, we must be perfect, and none of us are. Christ paid the penalty of sin in our place. How great a God is He.

23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster — Galatians 3:23–25

Even though we believe that we are good decent people because we don’t murder or rob a bank, as examples, according to the Holy Bible, all of our righteousnesses (works) are as filthy rags.

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away Isaiah 64:6

Therefore, we cannot merit heaven by our works. This is contrary to what the world teaches, but keep in mind that it is Satan who is the temporary god of this world. Only the work of Jesus saves. It is His obedience that we put our trust in.

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous Romans 5:19

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me John 14:6

The Holy Bible is truth.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth John 17:17

Organised or man-made religions are rampant in this world, and those who do not trust on Jesus Christ as their personal saviour for the payment for sin are on the broad road to destruction. Teachers like Oprah Winfrey, who sadly has hundreds of millions of followers, have not the truth because there is no truth in them. They deny the only Lord God.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ Jude 1:4

Jesus Christ died for all people, but God chooses to trust only those who believe on Him for everlasting life. Jesus Christ is the strait gate, the narrow way, as it says in Matthew 7:13–14 and Luke 13:24.

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it Matthew 7:13–14

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able  Luke 13:24

A divine truth like this can anger people, because this world and its god (Satan) has done a great job of making us all believe that we can work our way to heaven, and if we’ve done enough ‘good’ works then we’ll enter heaven. This is a lie. When the truth of the Gospel of Christ is revealed to us through His word, we can either reject it and continue to trust in our works, or realise that we are not perfect and never can be because we are flawed because of sin, and trust in Jesus’ work, which immediately seals us for all eternity. God accepted the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. By His shed blood there is remission of sins and we are made righteous.

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins Matthew 26:28

And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many Mark 14:24

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus Romans 3:20–26

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord Romans 5:16–21

17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness Romans 6:17–18

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission Hebrews 9:22

Through Christ’s imputed righteousness on us, God sees our sin no more.

As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us — Psalm 103:12

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more Hebrews 8:12

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins Hebrews 10:2

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin Hebrews 10:17–18

When Jesus paid for the sins of the entire world, and he said it is finished in John 19:30, how many more sins must be paid for. NONE

Sadly, the finished work of Christ is not the good news message that is preached today, but instead the bad news that we must work for salvation or prove our salvation. Salvation is a gift of God, not of works. In truth, when we are trying to perform through our flesh, we are not trusting in the finished work of Christ, but instead looking to our self. This steals the glory from God. Nobody can turn from all sin, because it’s in our nature. Teachers who teach that they have turned from all sin, have no truth in them because they believe they have no sin, as it states in 1 John 1:8. They are full of pride. How can we possibly grow in Grace, if we have not trusted in Christ alone. We have no seal of the Holy Spirit if we do not believe the gospel that Jesus died for sinful man, he was buried, and resurrected three days later, according to the scriptures. He gives eternal life to whosoever trusts in Him. This is good news and brings peace and joy. This is the good news that everyone needs to hear in this diseased prideful world.

Upon putting our full trust in Jesus Christ for eternal life, we are born again and given the gift of the Holy Spirit, who cannot sin. We still have our sinful nature even as believers, but our new nature cannot sin.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God 1 John 3:9

This is one of the scriptures that is corrupted by these works salvation teachers. In truth, they do not understand what it means. Our sinful nature still remains, but thankfully we have the gift of the Holy Spirit, who cannot sin. Without this gift, nobody could be saved. NOBODY. Remember in John 3, Jesus said to Nicodemus that we must be born again.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the SpiritJohn 3:6–8

This is why we go to Heaven because it is Jesus’ finished works that we trust in, which God accepted.

Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself Hebrews 7:27

Jesus paid for the sin of everyone, but God chooses to save only those who trust in His son. Only God’s plan of salvation through Christ gives God all the glory. Either we trust God, who is perfect, or we trust man’s plan of salvation through these many organised religions, which sadly appeal to the flesh nature, which doesn’t want to see its corruptness. The truth is that nobody is without sin, even when born again. We will always struggle with sin until the day of redemption. This is evident when Paul states that he struggles with sin in Romans 7:16–25.

Jesus Christ is not religion, but Jesus Christ is God in the flesh whom we trust for eternal life. He promises eternal life to those who trust in Him. Here are some scriptures where Jesus is promising everlasting (eternal) life on those who trust (believeth) in or on Him.

15 that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil John 3:15–19

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him — John 3:36

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life John 5:24

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst – John 6:35

And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last dayJohn 6:40

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life John 6:47

These are just a few scriptural evidences for eternal life, as spoken by Jesus. There are 85 instances of believe in the book of John.

29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house Acts 16:29–31

Both believe and believeth are 4100. pisteuó in Strong’s concordance

pisteuó: to believe, entrust

Original Word: πιστεύω
Part of Speech: Verb
Transliteration: pisteuó
Phonetic Spelling: (pist-yoo’-o)
Definition: to believe, entrust
Usage: I believe, have faith in, trust in; pass: I am entrusted with.

The gospel of Christ is very simple, simple enough for a child to understand. Even Paul describes it as the simplicity that is in Christ.

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ 1 Corinthians 11:3

Sadly, the world has added its own interpretations of what the gospel is and today the gift of God, His grace through the Lord Jesus Christ, has been lost, and those who teach salvation through grace only are called the unsaved, unrighteous. The scriptures even tell us that the truth would be evil spoken of in 2 Peter.

1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not 2 Peter 2:1–3

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: — Ephesians 2:8

The Holy Bible clearly says that salvation is by grace, and not of ourselves, not of our works. It is the gift of God. The Holy Bible says that the gifts of God are without repentance. There are eight variations of repentance. Most of the repentance found in the Old Testament is of God repenting, and much of this is 5162 nacham, which means to be sorry. In the New Testament, repent is 3340 metanoeoor 3341 metanoia, meaning a change of mind. I’ve written an entire article on each of the 108 repentance verses in the Holy Bible, which is a long read but I hope will be helpful. When it comes to the gift of God (salvation through Jesus Christ), repentance means 278 ametameletos.

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance Romans 11:29

ametamelétos: not repented of

Original Word: ἀμεταμέλητος, ον
Part of Speech: Adjective
Transliteration: ametamelétos
Phonetic Spelling: (am-et-am-el’-ay-tos)
Definition: not repented of
Usage: not to be repented of, about which no change of mind can take place, not affected by change of mind.

God will not change His mind about His gifts and calling (2821 Klesis — an invitation to embrace the salvation of God); therefore, eternal life cannot be lost, like many teachers teach.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them Ephesians 2:10

Salvation is the gift of God, and service or discipleship is done for God out of our gratitude toward Him. However, nothing that we do, no amount of works, counts toward the righteousness of Christ’s finished work, so rest in Christ, and as we grow in grace through prayer and reading the Holy Bible, the fruits of the spirit, spoken of in Galatians 5:22–23 like faith, love, goodness, kindness etc will become evident. Simply look to Christ daily and give Him thanks for everything, including blessings and chastenings.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus Phillipians 4:6–7

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him Colossians 3:16–17

As a born again believer, who has trusted Christ as saviour, I must share the gospel.

1. Sin separates us from God (Genesis 3).

2. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

3. To go to heaven, we must be perfect, and none of us are (Matthew 5:48).

4. God loves us (John 3:16), but He hates our sin (Psalm 5:4).

5. God came in the flesh as Jesus Christ (John 10:30), obeyed the law perfectly (Romans 5:19), and died that cruel death on the cross for the sins of every human being who will ever live on this earth (1 John 2:2).

6. Jesus, who is God Almighty in the flesh, resurrected His body and ascended into Heaven offering his sacrifice for sin for ever (Hebrews 10:12).

7. The will of God is for us to believe on His son, Jesus Christ, who paid for all sin (John 6:40).

8. Jesus’ shed blood gives us the remission of sin (Romans 3:25, Hebrews 10:18).

9. Although God has died for all sin, God chooses to save only those who trust in His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ (John 6:47).

Do you believe that He paid for your sin debt? Will you trust Him today for eternal life? Contrary to popular belief by false teachers who teach that a believer can lose their salvation because of wilful sin etc, this is incorrect. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance— Romans 11:29
