The Front Loading Gospel False Teachings From AllAboutGod.com

I came across this website, All About God, who add works to their gospel, prior to coming to Christ. They also focus on a corrupted New International Version (NIV) bible, which encourages works salvation.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 (NIV)

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Allaboutgod.com Prayer

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

This above message adds works to the gospel. All we need to do is to confess that we have sinned against God and to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus DID the WORK. We CANNOT do anything else but believe on HIM for eternal life.

25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. 27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled. 28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here. 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway. 34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. Acts 16: 25-34 (KJV)

Good works done for Christ AFTER believing on HIM will result in eternal rewards in heaven, but works MUST not be stated as a requisite for salvation. Salvation is a free gift from God, a gift that we do not deserve, but it is given to those who believe on the finished work of Jesus Christ. Receive the free gift of eternal life today by believing on Jesus Christ and only Him.

In an effort to force righteous behaviours upon believers, a lot of teachers today have added works to the gospel in subtle ways, like the sinners prayer listed above. It is our job to proclaim the simple gospel and defend this good news so that as many people can be saved by believing on Christ, because God doesn’t want any soul to perish.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

Strong’s Concordance
metanoia: change of mind, repentance

Original Word: μετάνοια, ας, ἡ
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Transliteration: metanoia
Phonetic Spelling: (met-an’-oy-ah)
Definition: change of mind, repentance
Usage: repentance, a change of mind, change in the inner man.

We must change our minds from trusting in our self-righteous works in trying to earn eternal life, and trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Simple belief is all that is required. Even when we are born into God’s family as believers in Jesus Christ, we still have sin within us. This sanctification is a lifelong process.

On the final paragraph, allaboutgod.com states:

WHAT DO YOU THINK? – We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

Jesus is already LORD of all. We don’t have to proclaim Jesus is Lord. He is LORD. This is from Romans 9:10 in the corrupted New International Version and adds a work to the simple gospel. Keep it simple. Defend the gospel.

Allaboutgod.com adds works to the gospel. They are the enemy of the cross of Christ.

(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Phillippians 3:18 (KJV)

Teachers and website can appear pious and holy, but we must be discerning in these end times and defend the gospel of Jesus Christ.

JESUS IS THE FINISHER OF OUR FAITH

JESUS IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS

JESUS RECONCILES SINFUL MAN TO A HOLY GOD

WE CAN DO NOTHING BUT BELIEVE ON THE WORK JESUS HAS DONE FOR US

FAITH IN CHRIST PLUS NOTHING EQUALS SALVATION

GLORY TO YOU LORD FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR US. THANK YOU JESUS
